Welcome to the Upper Arlington Special Olympics website. We are a small, volunteer-run club in Upper Arlington, Ohio. We are chartered under Special Olympics Ohio, a Program of Special Olympics International.

These terms explain the rules for using our site. By using the site, you agree to them. Please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We use people-first language here. For example, we say "an athlete who uses a wheelchair," not "a wheelchair-bound athlete."

Who may register

You may create an account if you are:

• A parent or caregiver of an athlete, or
• An adult athlete who is their own guardian.

A parent or caregiver always holds the family account. Minors never get their own logins. A parent or caregiver always signs in for them.

You must be old enough to agree to these terms. If you sign up for a family, you confirm you have the right to do so.

Give us accurate info

We count on the info you give us. It helps us run the club and keep athletes safe.

Please give us true and current info. Keep it up to date. This matters most for the medical form date. A wrong or out-of-date signed date could let an athlete take part without a current clearance.

Keep your account safe

Your account is yours. Please protect it.

• Keep your password private.
• Do not let others use your login.
• Tell us if you think someone else got into your account.

Acceptable use

Please use the site in a kind and lawful way. When you use the site, you agree not to:

• Break any law.
• Try to see info that is not yours.
• Try to break, hack, or overload the site.
• Upload harmful files or software.
• Harass or harm any other person.

If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account.

We are a volunteer club

Volunteers run this club and this site. We give our time and care. But we are not a large company with paid staff.

We try to keep the site working and correct. Still, we cannot promise it will always be perfect or always available. Sometimes the site may be down for fixes or updates.

Limits on our responsibility

We share the site as a helpful tool. We do our best, but we offer it "as is."

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. If we make an important change, we will let families know. The date of the latest version will appear on this page when we publish it.

If you keep using the site after a change, you agree to the new terms.

Ending your use

You may stop using the site at any time. You may ask us to close your account. When your family leaves, we handle your data as our Privacy Policy explains.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Governing law

These terms follow the laws of the State of Ohio. Ohio law will govern any dispute about them.
