Ways to help

Coaching a sport, or helping the coach at practice.

Working with one or two athletes during a practice.

Timing, scoring and setting up at meets and games.

Driving, snacks, and a hundred small jobs on event days.

Helping to run the club itself — the treasurer, the advisory board and the volunteer coordinator are all volunteers too.

What we ask

Volunteers complete a volunteer application before their first practice. You do not need any experience with the Special Olympics, and you do not need to be an athlete's parent. You do need to turn up when you say you will — the athletes notice.

How to start

Sign up on this website and complete the volunteer application, then come to a practice for the sport you are interested in.
